Term 2 Week 3: Animation Challenge 8

Kia Ora! This week has been busy and has gone so quickly. The Akonga have still been investigating into perimeter and area for maths, we did a practice walk of the cross country route and we also gave cybersmart challenge ago. We also celebrated pink shirt day by wearing pink and attended assembly.

Term 2: Week 2 Whai koha - Respect

 Nau mai whakatata mai!

Kua mutu te wiki tua rua, akonga have been busy learning about respect this week in tuhituhi, pakirehua and putting whai koha into practice during class but especially pānui. We also have continued looking at measurement and units of measurement in our classroom with some building.

This Rāpare we had our first futsal session, which was so much fun with all akonga getting involved and learning some simple drills.

Term 2: Week 1

Nau Mai, Hoki Mai ki te Kura mō te whananga tuarua! Welcome back to school for term 2


This week has been busy! The school had (pūtaiao) Science in a van which was really entertaining, engaging and students learn't some really cool facts about science in a fun way!









In Pāngarau (maths) we have been learning about Measurement ( īne) length, perimeter and area. So the tauira have been focusing on non-standard ways of measuring different objects in the classroom and in the school grounds. The tamariki really enjoyed these activities!

In Pakirehua (inquiry) we had a kōrero about What does the word relationship means, Who do they involved and tauira identified some of their special relationships.

In Pūtaiao, we are looking at the growth cycle of plants




, so students have planted beans and we will be observing and recording the growth of these beans over the next few days. We hope to plants these bean plants in our kura māra.
